The French United Jewish Appeal, now emulating the methods employed in the United States, is trying to broaden its base of contributors. Baron Elie de Rothschild, campaign chairman, announced that some 3,500 members of various trades and professions will attend 11 simultaneous fund-raising dinners here Tuesday. The organization is now in its second year of combined fundraising for Israel and local needs which are channeled through the “Fonds Social Juif.”
