Semi-permanent Dormitories for 1,000 Hebrew U. Students Will Be Built, Rothberg Says

Semi-permanent dormitories for 1,000 students at the main campus of Hebrew University will be built with funds provided by American and Canadian Friends of the university, Sam Rothberg, chairman of the university’s board of governors, announced at a meeting of the board. The board adopted a five-year development budget totalling $80 million. Justice Haim Cohn was elected deputy chairman of the board and Haim Zadok, a former Commerce Minister, was elected chairman of the university executive council, succeeding Justice Cohn. New members of the board included Mrs. Faye Schenk from the United States, L. Bloomfield of Canada, Gen. Haim Herzog of Israel and Dr. Alec Lerner, who settled here recently from Britain.
