New Press Attache in Washington, Consul-general in Philadelphia Named by Israel

Shaul Ben-Chaim, a member of the editorial staff of the evening newspaper Maariv, will replace Dan Pattir as press counselor at the Israel Embassy in Washington. Mr. Pattir is expected to return to the newspaper Davar from which he has been on loan to the Foreign Ministry. The shift is expected to take place next July or August.

The Israel Foreign Ministry has named Moshe Yegar, 39, to the post of Consul-General of Israel for the Philadelphia area, the state of Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, it was learned here. Mr. Yegar previously served as Israel Consul in Los Angeles. He will succeed Yissakhar Ben Yaacov who served as Consul General in Philadelphia for the past five, years.
