Technion, Haifa and Government Co-sponsor Mideast’s 1st Advanced Technology Center

The first Advanced Technology Center in the Middle East has been opened on a 30 acre site near Haifa. The project is a joint venture of the Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa Technion), the government and the Haifa municipality. According to Technion president Alexander Goldberg, eight engineering firms plan to move into the center in the near future. Mr. Goldberg said the Technion’s engineers and scientists would be available on a consultative basis to help develop the center.
