The Council of Ministers of the European Economic Community took up the question of associative status for Israel at its session here today and agreed to consider it again at its next session after various proposals have been studied by its executive committee. With the exception of France whose negative position remains unchanged, the majority of the six-member states favor a preferential tariff arrangement with Israel.
