Deputy Prime Minister Yigal Allon has taken over the chairmanship of several ministerial committees that have up until now been held by the Prime Minister. These are the committee on Jerusalem, the committee on the Etzion bloc (a West Bank settlement), and Hebron and the committee on science and technology.
