The American Jewish Press Association ended its 26th annual convention here with the election of Jimmy Wisch, publisher of the Texas Jewish Post of Dallas-Fort Worth, as its new president. Mr. Wisch succeeded Adolph Rosenberg of the Southern Israelite, published in Atlanta, Ga.
The American Jewish Press Association is an organization of editors and publishers of English-Jewish newspapers. Joseph J. Cummins of the B’nai B’rith Messenger, a Los Angeles weekly, was re-elected vice president. Newly elected vice presidents are Albert Bloom of the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle and Conrad Isenberg of the Jewish Civic Leader of Worcester, Mass. Mr. Rosenberg will serve as secretary and Milton Firestone of the Kansas City (Mo.) Jewish Chronicle was re-elected treasurer.
In a resolution adopted at the close of their four day session, the delegates pledged to continue working for the benefit of the American Jewish community and to counter Arab propaganda directed against Israel.
