Finance Minister Zeev Sharef said today that Israelis have already contributed $35 million toward this year’s internal defense loan and predicted that the $84 million goal would be reached by March, 1970, the end of the fiscal year. Mr. Sharef, who is also Minister of Commerce and Industry, left for Britain and the United States today. He said he would be meeting with businessmen and community leaders in both countries to discuss further investments in Israel and would also take up matters related to the Joint Palestine Appeal and the United Jewish Appeal.
