Five American governors touring Israel planted trees in the Kennedy Memorial Forest near Jerusalem. One of them, Gov. Frank Licht, of Rhode Island, was made an honorary fellow of the Hebrew University in recognition of his “conspicuous public service to the cause of interfaith understanding and the renaissance of the Jewish people in its own land.” The other touring governors are James Rhodes of Ohio, Frank Farrar of South Dakota, Claude Kirk of Florida and Calvin Rampton of Utah.
