The Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations is marking its 50th anniversary this year. The organization, founded in 1920, grew out of efforts to help Jewish victims of the first World War and the pogroms that followed it.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
