$100,000 Gift Makes Possible First Vocational School Computer Training Program

A vocational training institute in Israel to emphasize computer training will be established with a $100,000 gift from Fred Richmond, president of the Frederick W. Richmond Foundation, it was announced here today by the Religious Zionists of America. The contribution was made through Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamizrachi, according to Rabbi Herschel Schacter, honorary chairman of the organization. The training center, to be known as the Frederick W. Richmond Technological Institute, will be located at Shafir, about 35 miles from Tel Aviv. The building now under construction will be finished in time for the beginning of the school year next September. It will provide vocational training in a number of fields with the stress on computer technology, Rabbi Schachter said.
