Trade union leaders from 12 Arab countries have called for a total boycott of the United States, Britain and West Germany because they are “hostile to the Arab nation and at war with it just like Israel.” The trade unionists urged the Arab countries to stop buying U.S., British and German products, to withdraw Arab deposits from those countries’ banks and to close their information centers in Arab cities. Tunisia and Saudi Arabia were the only Arab countries not represented at the Cairo meeting.
