The 27th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto revolt was observed here yesterday at the city’s annual Memorial Service to the Six Million Jewish Martyrs. The City Council renamed an intersection as the “Avenue of Remembrance” and said that the Martyrs’ Monument there, erected by the Federation of Jewish Agencies and the Association of Jewish New Americans, “has become a shrine in reverent memory of the 35,000 Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto” and of the six million.
