Israeli Planes Conduct 75-minute Attack on Egyptian Targets; Planes Return Safely

The Israeli Air Force made attacks this afternoon on Egyptian targets in the central sector of the Suez Canal and in the Saafarana region on the Western shore of the Gulf of Suez. The attacks lasted 75 minutes, and all planes reportedly returned safely. Three Israeli civilians were wounded in a Jordanian mortar attack on Yardena in the Beisan Valley yesterday evening. An Israeli soldier was wounded when an Israeli patrol was fired on from Jordanian territory in the Al Hammah area this morning. Two roads were damaged in the Golan Heights last night. The Yardena casualties were a 16-year-old boy, Itzhal Elyahu, Ben Sassoun Hamis, 50 and Mrs. Rossela Nissim, 60, a grandmother. The three were hospitalized. Several houses in the settlement were damaged. Israeli Army units returned the fire.
