A special service for the safe return of the three American astronauts was conducted today at the Western Wall here. Prayers were said by Rabb D. Perla, director of Israel government’s Department for Holy Places. Many tourists who happened to be at the Wall at the time joined in the prayer. In New York, Rabbi Abraham Gross, president of the Rabbinical Alliance of America, called on American clergymen “regardless of religious affiliation” to pray for “the safe return” of Apollo 13 astronauts.
