The New York Board of Rabbis today expressed its shock to the Greek Ambassador at his government’s freeing the seven Arab terrorists who were found guilty in a Greek court for their attacks on an El Al airliner at the Athens airport and on an E1 A1 office in Athens, attacks which resulted in the death of a two-year old Greek child and an Israeli citizen and causing injury to other innocent people. The terrorists were freed last week in return for the promise of the hijackers of an Olympic Airlines plane not to blow up the plane and kill its passengers. “It is incredible for us to believe.” declared the rabbis, “that the Greek people, whose long and honorable history of civilization and humaneness is such an integral part of world progress, allowed itself to be blackmailed in such an ignominious manner.”
