Some 150 persons today evacuated the building at 660 First Avenue where the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s editorial office is located after police reported that an unidentified male had called to warn that there was a bomb in the office of CARE, two floors above the JTA office. After searching the building for almost an hour police said they could not find any bomb. CARE officials said they had no idea why anyone should want to. or threaten to, place a bomb in their office. This is the second time in a little more than a year that a bomb scare has hit this building. The last one was also directed against CARE.
