A series of lectures, films and “dramatic events” on Soviet Jewry will be presented at Brooklyn College in upcoming weeks by the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation and the Brooklyn chapter of the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry. The college has a large percentage of Jewish students. The project follows the appearance on the campus earlier this week by Mrs. Luba Bershadskaya, a Soviet Jewish activist and emigrant who spent 10 years in a Russian prison camp. She endorsed non-violent actions in support of Soviet Jewry. Mrs. Bershadskaya said violent tactics on dangered the lives of Soviet Jews and threatened their applications for exit visas.
