Twenty-nine Arab educators will meet tomorrow in Ramallah to discuss creation of an Arab university. Both the meeting and the university project have the approval of the Israeli civil and military authorities, although the initiative came entirely from the Arabs, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency was told. The organizer and driving spirit for the idea is Dr. Salim Nashef, headmaster of the Kadoorie Agricultural High School in Tulkarem, who submitted the list of 29 educators for the meeting to the military government which approved it. That government, as a matter of principle, bans political meetings in the West Bank but said it would not hinder the planned Ramallah gathering if only educational personalities were invited. The university will be the first in the West Bank.
