For the first time, Technion–Israel Institute of Technology will offer a program this summer for Jewish high school students from the United States and Canada. The program is designed as an introduction to scientific and technological subjects. “This marks the first time that Israel’s internationally-known technological university is having a program for students from North America,” said Charles I. Scher, executive vice president of the American Technion Society. The program will run from July 12 to August 30. Enrollment will be limited to 40 high school students, between the ages of 16 to 18, with general interest in science and technology. There is no pre-requisite of high school science courses. The program is sponsored by the American Technion society in cooperation with the Youth and Hechalutz Department of the Jewish Agency and the American Zionist Youth Foundation.
