Tadiran Israel Electronics Industries Ltd., the first foreign exhibitor admitted to the Capital Air Force Communications and Electronics Association’s annual show, unveiled four advanced solid-state military communications sets today. The association is a closed club of private American arms manufacturers. Tadiran manufactures a full range of field, tactical, military and communications equipment, and can equip units ranging from individual squad to full army. Today’s visitors to the show included Israeli Ambassador Yitzhak Rabin and diplomats of the United States, Mexico, Communist countries and the North American Treaty Organization. Elkana Caspi, managing director of Tadiran, said the corporation, which is associated with GTE International, sold $70 million worth of military equipment last year and expected to sell $120 million worth this year. A Tadiran spokesman said GTE will subcontract $40 million worth of new communications sets to the Israeli firm. W.S. Anderson, vice-president of GTE, said of Tadiran: “Nobody makes anything better.”
