The Israel Medical Association said today all Israeli physicians will stage a 24-hour strike next Thursday in protest against ultra-Orthodox zealots who oppose autopsies. The association decided on the walkout after a new act of vandalism against the home of a Jerusalem pathologist. The zealots covered the home with threats, swastikas and anti-autopsy slogans. Vandalism has occurred despite statements by Israel’s rabbinate.
