Foreign Minister Abba Eban said last night that the “dialogue” between America and Israel “is going forward” and will be “a determining factor in maintaining peace.” Addressing 700 persons attending the annual dinner of the Zionist Organization of America, Eban made no reference to Premier Golda Meir’s meeting a week ago with President Nixon. He said, however. “We have greater confidence this week than we had a week ago.” Eban added that “It does no harm for friendly governments to remind each other of their commitments and interests, ” and described 1970-71 as the “golden years” of US military assistance to Israel.
