Copenhagen police are investigating several bomb threats received at the hotel where President Zalman Shazar of Israel is staying. Shazar attended the funeral today of the late King Frederik IX of Denmark and dined tonight with the Queen Mother, Queen Ingrid. Police have increased their guard around Shazar’s hotel. The investigation is said to be taking in local Arab and leftist circles.

Shazar was one of four presidents attending the funeral and was the only one to be greeted personally at the airport by Queen Ingrid. He said that “the Jewish people and Israel will never forget what the Danish nation and the Royal Family have done for Jews during the days of the Nazi occupation” Shazar is scheduled to meet tomorrow with the local Jewish community and with Polish Jews living in Denmark.
