World Zionist Executive chairman Louis A. Pincus said today that solutions to Israel’s social problems and the continued large scale absorption of immigrants are not mutually exclusive, “We will fight for aliya as if there were no internal social problems in Israel and fight the social problems as if there were no aliya,” Pincus told a plenary session of the 28th World Zionist Congress. He reiterated his insistence that the struggle on behalf of Soviet Jews permits but one solution–that they get out of Russia and come to Israel Mordechai Bar On, head of the Jewish Agency’s youth department urged diaspora Zionist youth to stop their ideological arguments with the extreme left and right and to practice what they preach by emigrating to Israel.
