The Austrian Foreign Minister, Dr. Rudolf Kirchschlaeger, will arrive here next month on an official visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Abba Eban. Political circles here said the visit will be important because Vienna is the main way station for Soviet emigres bound for Israel. In addition, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kurt Waldheim, is not only Austrian himself but a former Foreign Minister. Among other Foreign Ministers due here soon are Britain’s Sir Alec Douglas-Home and the Netherlands’ W.K.N. Schmelzer.

Nahal Netzarim, a new Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip, was officially established today. It is located south of Gaza on the banks of the Gaza River. A watchtower has been completed and buildings are being constructed.
