A poll published in Le Figaro showed that more youths between 15 and 20 years of age would rather live in Israel (8 percent) than in China (7 percent) or in Cuba (6 percent). Only the Soviet Union of all the Communist countries drew more votes with 9 percent. The majority of the youth expressed a desire to reside in Western countries such as France, the US, Britain and Sweden.
