French Foreign Minister Maurice Schumann, arriving here several days ago on a goodwill mission, was presented with a message from the Latin American Jewish Congress exhorting him to act decisively to extradite Klaus Altmann who is believed to be the former “butcher of Lyons” Klaus Barbie. The message, signed by Dr. Isaac Goldenberg and Marc Turkow, president and secretary general respectively of the Congress, remind Schumann of his wartime role as an anti-Nazi combatant.
