Police sappers carried out a thorough search this afternoon in the French Consulate building in Haifa after telephone warnings were received by the police, the Consulate and the Haifa broadcasting system that a bomb was planted in the Consulate building. However, a search failed to locate any bomb.

Meanwhile, two TWA planes were searched thoroughly after an anonymous call was received at Lydda Airport saying a bomb was in a TWA Jumbo Jet. The Jet was searched as well as a Boeing 707 which was also at the airport. Nothing was found and the planes departed with a short delay.
