Paul Zuckerman, United Jewish Appeal general chairman, announced today the appointments of three UJA national chairmen to chairmanships of Israel mission programs. Louis S. Goldman of Dayton, Ohio will act as chairman for UJA’s regular Operation Israel flights, and Gerald S. Colburn of Milwaukee, Wisconsin will serve as chairman for the new “Cameo” missions. Albert B. Adelman, also of Milwaukee, has been appointed chairman of UJA’s Annual Study Conference Committee.

Operation Israel is planning a total of ten missions for the coming year, according to Zuckerman. The first will begin Oct. 15, with the departure of a Women’s Division Leadership flight. Four cameo missions, intensified four-to-five day programs, are currently being planned, Zuckerman said. The annual study conference is an eight-day in-depth study of the problems confronting the people of Israel today. Zuckerman announced that the leadership mission would depart for Israel Oct. 1.
