Grenade Blast in Gaza Misses Target, Kills Arab Boy

Twenty-five Arab workers were injured and a 12-year-old boy was fatally wounded by the explosion of a hand grenade in a Gaza street Friday. The grenade was thrown at a civilian car driven by an Israeli tourist. An Israeli girl soldier who was a passenger in the car received slight injuries and the car sustained minor damage.

The grenade missed the vehicle and exploded near a group of Arab workers employed in Israel and several other bystanders, among them the boy who later died of his wounds. Police rounded up 30 suspects for questioning. The incident was the first occasion for bloodshed in the Gaza streets in six months, Despite tension Arab workers employed in Israel showed up for work yesterday.
