13 Jewish Families Arrive in U.S. from Communist Bloc Countries

The United Hits Service reported today that 24 Jewish emigrants comprising 13 family units from the Soviet Union, Hungary, Rumania and Poland arrived here on separate flights. The emigrants will be resettled in Greater New York; Teaneck, N.J.; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Atlanta, Ga.; and Montreal. Four of the arrivals from the USSR entered this country through the parole authority of the US Attorney General. The families settling in the NY area are being assisted by the NY Association for New Americans. Families in other cities are being assisted by the local Jewish communities.

The Grand Duke of Luxembourg yesterday placed flowers on the monument to the Jewish dead of Bellevue in Limpertsberg, Luxembourg. In memory of the Munich victims.
