Delivery of the first Israel-made executive aircraft, the 1123 jet, to an American buyer was announced here by Elkana Galli, North American director of Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd.; manufacturers of the plane. The $1 million twin-engined jet with a capacity of 8-10 passengers has been delivered to the U.S. and is now in operation by Food Fair Inc., a Philadelphia-based firm, Galli said.

He made the announcement at an aviation and electronics industry luncheon Thursday held by Israel Aircraft Industries at the Jerusalem Fair here. The luncheon was attended by 75 top executives of aerospace and electronics companies in the southern California area. Galli said that incoming orders for the 1123 jet would require a production rate of one plane per month through the summer of 1973. The 1123 has a 2000-mile range and cruises at 540 m.p.h. The American distributors of the plane are Atlantic Aviation of Wilmington, Del.
