South African Finance Minister Dr. Nico Diederichs has given permission for the immediate transfer to Israel of funds collected by the South African Zionist Federation in the Israel United Appeal Campaign. The funds normally would have to await transfer by installments in terms of South Africa’s foreign currency restrictions. The decision was welcomed by Harry Hurwitz, vice-chairman of the Zionist Federation as further evidence of government good will.
