Israel will seek to establish new borders “somewhere between the pre-1967 frontiers and the present cease-fire lines” at the Geneva peace conference, Premier Golda Meir said Wednesday night at an election meeting of the Labor Party in Haifa. She said Israel was going to the talks “with open eyes, knowing the road to peace is a long one.” The Premier added that the public statements made by the Arabs now gathering in Geneva should not be given great weight. No one expects them, she said, to announce on their arrival that they wish to achieve peace with Israel and are willing to make concessions.
