Foreign Minister Mitchell Sharp reaffirmed in Parliament that Canada’s policy in the Middle East remains unchanged despite the Arab oil boycott, ” The right of Israel to exist within secure and recognized boundaries is fundamental to the policy of Canada in the Middle East.” Sharp said in reply to a question by Conservative MP John Fraser.
