Israel complained here again today of additional violations by Syria of the cease-fire between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4. In a letter to United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim, Jacob Doron, Israel’s acting permanent representative, said the violations included an attempt to cross the cease-fire line, five cases of small arms fire, two cases of tank fire, one firing of anti-tank missiles and 22 incidents of artillery fire.

Doron wrote again that the attacks, which “are causing casualties,” indicated a deliberate Syrian policy to create an atmosphere of military confrontation and to change the cease-fire line in Syria’s favor. Doron added that reports by UN Observer Headquarters to the Security Council supported his charges.
