The murder of four Jewish women in Damascus was brought to the attention of UN Secretary General Kurt Waldheim by Israel’s UN Ambassador Yosef Tekoah in the course of a meeting they had Friday, informed UN sources disclosed to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today. Tekoah emphasized the horrible nature of the crime and asked the Secretary General to intervene immediately to prevent a recurrence; the sources said. Waldheim promised to act.
