A World Jewish Congress assembly scheduled for next month at The Hague has been cancelled because of possible security problems for the Dutch government, it was reported here yesterday. Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the WJ Congress, declined comment on reports that the Dutch government had requested the cancellation. He did say that the expected 500 delegates from 65 countries scheduled to attend the sessions from April 28 to May 6 would have filled the hotels in The Hague and would have required additional housing in hotels in Rotterdam which, he said, would have created security problems. Dr. Goldmann said the meeting will be held in Miami but that no date had been set. The parleys are held every five years.
