Some 20 Druze settlers of the Golan Heights were detained since the Yom Kippur War on charges of espionage and acts of terror against Israel. Most of them, settlers of the Druze village Majdal Shams on the slopes of Mt. Hermon, were tried and convicted on various charges that connected with violating the state’s security.
