A delegation of 17 Jewish leaders headed by Rabbi Israel Miller, chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, met with Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger today for a discussion of “major Jewish contemporary concerns.” It was believed that the Jewish group raised the issues of Israel’s security, the emigration of Soviet Jews and the plight of Jews in Syria. This was the first meeting of Jewish community leaders with Kissinger since the Moscow summit conference. It was the sixth meeting of the Presidents Conference with Kissinger in the past seven months.
