Dr. Moshe A. Tov. Israel’s Ambassador to Chile, has extended Israel’s offer to help the victims of the severe floods which occurred recently in the southern region of this country. Dr. Tov personally visited the Chilean Foreign Ministry to extend this aid. The Chilean Jewish community has likewise come to the aid of the flood victims, sending clothing and food to the affected areas.

Dr. Tov’s wife, Ruth, recently met with the wives of two members of the ruling military junts, Mrs. Margarita Merino and Mrs. Alicia Mendoza. According to reports, Mrs. Tov discussed “topics of general interest” with the wives of the Chilean officials, and brought them regards from Chile’s Ambassador to Israel. Samuel Gleiser.
