Aleksander Feldman, the Kiev Jewish activist, has been placed in solitary confinement in the prison camp near Odessa where he is serving a 3-1/2 year sentence, the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported. Feldman was tried in Nov. 1973 on charges of “malicious hooliganism” and sentenced at that time. He has been kept separated from other Jewish Prisoners of Conscience since the start of his sentence, the NCSJ said.
