Belgium’s Minister of Justice H. Vanderpoorten, will present a strict new law to Parliament in February, concerning criminals who take hostages. The new law would call for heavy sentences of hard labor in cases where hostages are taken, and life sentences at hard labor in cases where hostages are killed.
