The University of Vienna started courses in Yiddish, a university spokesman said Monday. The courses, which began in the spring term, are attended by 15 students, the spokesman said. One of them is Jewish, the others Christian. The lecturer, Dr. Jacob Allerhand from the Judaic Institute of the university, said that Yiddish, in the near future, may become a dying language.
