Leon Dulzin, acting chairman of the Jewish Agency Executive, praised the United Jewish Appeal “Koach Mission” to Israel as “unquestionably one of the most significant contributions ever made to Israel by the American Jewish community.” Dulzin’s praise was sent in a telex message to the national UJA leadership here, including R. Alan Rudy, chairman of the UJA Young Leadership Cabinet and leader of the mission which comprised 1000 people. Dulzin said that “all Israel was taken by storm” by the mission which succeeded “in strengthening even further the bonds between us and showing the world that we are indeed one.” Dulzin added that Israelis received a “tremendous boost in morale” by the 1000 UJA leaders.
