Israeli security forces have detained 35 suspects in connection with an El Fatah gang that has been operating in the southern Gaza Strip. Most of the suspects are from Rafah township where acts of murder and sabotage were carried out. The gang is held responsible for the murder of a Bedouin watchman and theft of his firearms; a grenade attack on an Israeli army patrol near Rafah two months ago; and a grenade attack on an army vehicle in the same region six weeks ago.
