Five terrorist cells consisting of about 40 Arabs who incited riots and participated in disturbances on the West Bank have been uncovered in the Samaria district, security sources disclosed today. The cells were located in Djalazoon village north of Ramallah and Denabba village, near Tulkarem.
Two were connected with George Habash’s Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine one with El Fatah, another with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine headed by Naif Hawatmeh and the fifth with an Iraqi-sponsored terrorist group.
According to security sources the members provoked riots during the recent troubles on the West Bank and set fire to a bus and a truck that carried Arab workers to Israel. Some were found in possession of explosives. An investigation of their activities is continuing, the sources said.
