A delegation of the European Parliament was scheduled to arrive in Israel Tuesday, headed by George Spenale, President of the Parliament. Spenale is a leading member of the French Socialist Party. The delegation includes Parliament members from Germany, Belgium, Britain and Italy. This is a return visit for a Knesset delegation visit led by Abba Eban to the European Parliament last December. The delegation, which will be here for four days, intends to bind Israel’s ties with the European body on a parliamentary level.
