The situation in southern Lebanon has considerably calmed down, according to Israeli source. This information was reinforced by reports originating in the Lebanese forces stationed in the town of Marjayoun which said that despite minor fire exchanges, including artillery shells, the whole area was calm. However, the border between the two countries continued to remain tense, and a relatively high degree of alertness was maintained in the area.
